Soda PDF started with a simple frustration: PDF tools online are either buried behind paywalls, cluttered with ads, or so complicated you need a tutorial just to merge two files. We didn't think it had to be that way.

So we built Soda PDF - a place where you can convert, merge, split, compress, edit, and manage your PDFs without jumping through hoops. No sign-up walls blocking basic tools. No hidden charges after you've already uploaded your file. Just tools that do what they say, quickly.

What we believe
PDF tools should be free to use. Everyone deals with PDFs - students, freelancers, small business owners, people filling out forms. Charging for basic tasks like converting a file or compressing a document never made sense to us.

Simple beats fancy. You shouldn't need a manual to merge two PDFs. Every tool on Soda PDF is built to be obvious the moment you open it - upload, click, download, done.

Your files are yours. We're not in the business of holding onto your documents. Files are processed and removed, not stored for who-knows-what.

Soda PDF offers a growing set of tools built around the everyday things people actually do with PDFs - converting to and from Word, Excel, and image formats, merging and splitting documents, compressing large files, editing text and pages, and more. If there's a PDF task you run into often, chances are we've built a tool for it - and if we haven't yet, we're probably working on it.

Still growing
We're a small team, and Soda PDF is very much a work in progress. We're adding new tools, fixing rough edges, and listening to feedback from people who use the site every day. If something's missing or broken, we want to know - that's how this gets better.
